WoW: Horde Leveling Tips for Faster Leveling
In order to speed up the intial level grind from 1-60, the recruit-a-friend method is a very good option if you have a friend who's willing to level with you. You can even do a RAF on your own if you have another WoW client open on your computer, or have a second PC to play on. This is a little tougher than having another live person to play with you, but still feasible with some practice.
Between RAF bonuses and the bind-on-account items that are now purchaseable through badges, Wintergrasp shards, and champion's seals, leveling is easier than ever. You can theoretically get from 1-60 in a day with RAF. After that, you've only got 20 levels to go.
Sidenote: As a Horde player, if you have a level 80, you can easily accrue enough Stone Keeper's Shards from Wintergrasp to buy heirloom shoulders.
Once you hit level 60, you can purchase flight in Outland. At this point you should focus on leveling one character and learning that character's full range of abilities so that if you choose to raid or group, you'll be able to. Once you hit 80, it's time to level another alt - or PvP, PvE, do arenas, or whatever else you choose.
Before you leave town every time you set out to quest, make sure you're always fully stocked on food, water, and potions. As a mage, this isn't such a great worry, but for other classes, it's something you should always be mindful of. The less time you have to spend between fights, the sooner you'll hit max level.
